Mizzou announces times for Braggin’ Rights Game, basketball season opener

Missouri announced tipoff times for three men’s basketball games Tuesday, including the annual Braggin’ Rights Game versus Illinois, which is Dec. 21 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The Tigers and Fighting Illini will play at 6 p.m. with the game televised on ESPNU.

Mizzou’s season opener on Nov. 13 against Alabama A&M will tip off at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network, while a Dec. 17 home game against Eastern Illinois also air on the SEC Network. That tip time is set for 2:30 p.m.

The Tigers’ Southeastern Conference schedule, including game times and broadcast information, was announced Sept. 6.

Women’s hoops schedule announced

After exhibition games against Central Missouri and Truman State, Missouri women’s basketball kicks off the 2016-17 season at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 against Abilene Christian in the opening round of the Preseason Women’s NIT.

The Tigers’ nonconference schedule also includes games Nov. 25-26 against Creighton and either Dayton or Georgia Tech during the Junkanoo Jam in Freeport, Bahamas.

Mizzou opens SEC play against Georgia at noon on Jan. 1, a game that will be televised on the SEC Network, and also hosts Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina and Mississippi during conference play.
