Former Missouri offensive coordinator Dave Christensen is getting rave reviews as Texas A&M’s new offensive line coach and running game coordinator.
“He’s showed us a lot of flaws that we had in our run game,” Aggies offensive tackle Germain Ifedi said.
A&M ranked 12th in the SEC with 149.9 yards per game last season.
“He had a great career at coordinator at Missouri, has been a head coach,” Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin said. “He brings attitude and experience to the table.”
Christensen was Mizzou’s offensive coordinator for 2001-2008 and became the first coach from Gary Pinkel’s staff to move from Missouri into a head coaching position, at Wyoming.
Christensen spent five years at Wyoming, taking two teams to bowl games, but was fired after the 2013 season. He spent last season as Utah’s offensive coordinator and tight ends coach.
