WEST REGION

At Anaheim, Calif.

▪ No. 1 Oregon vs. No. 2 Oklahoma

5:09 p.m., CBS

It’s the first meeting between these two teams in the NCAA Tournament since 1939, when the “Tall Firs” of Oregon defeated the Sooners to reach the first championship game, won by Oregon. The Ducks are seeking their first Final Four appearance since then. They beat Duke 82-68 in the Sweet 16 behind 22 points from guard Dillon Brooks. Oklahoma thumped Texas A&M 77-63, and Buddy Hield played more of a supporting role with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Woodard stepped up with 22 points. The game matches coaches who are longtime friends. Oregon’s Dana Altman was a member of Lon Kruger’s staff at Kansas State and succeeded him as head coach.

Pick: Oklahoma 77-73
