Sports Illustrated: Wichita State assistant Chris Jans headed to Bowling Green

Citing a source with knowledge of the hire, Sports Illustrated reported Sunday night that Bowling Green will hire Wichita State assistant coach Chris Jans as its next head coach.

The report said Bowling Green will announce the move Monday morning. Jans, who has head-coaching experience at the junior-college level, would replaced Louis Orr, who was 101-121 in seven seasons at the school, including 12-20 this season.

Bowling Green has not been to the NCAA Tournament since 1968.
