Wiggins brothers both suffer abrupt exits from NCAA Tournament

The college career of Nick Wiggins ended Sunday, as likely did that of his brother Andrew.

Nick, a sixth man for Wichita State, is a senior. While he spoke in upbeat tones when asked about the future of the Shockers, he was clearly disappointed the final team he’ll play on couldn’t get past 35-0.

“I’m sick to my stomach,” Nick Wiggins said. “When you strive for perfection nothing else will do.”

Andrew is a freshman who has been projected among the top picks in this summer’s NBA Draft. Andrew didn’t comment specifically about when he would make a decision to enter the draft.

The Wiggins family will now consider the future of their sons. And Nick had some advice for Andrew as well.

“I’ll just tell him to keep his head up,” Nick said. “Can’t dwell off one game. He’s had a great season and he has a great future ahead of him.”
