Former Kansas basketball player Jeremy Case is joining the team’s staff as video coordinator, coach Bill Self announced Friday morning.

Case, who played in 94 games from 2003-08, spent the last four seasons as an assistant at Houston Baptist.

“He’s been on the road for the past seven seasons in the coaching profession and I was pleasantly surprised when he contacted me when this position opened,” Self said. “Hopefully this will be a stepping stone that will allow him elevate himself in coaching.”

Case was a graduate assistant at KU in 2008-09 before spending three years as an assistant at Southeast Missouri State. He replaces James Cox, who had been KU’s video coordinator since November 2014.

“I want to thank Coach Self for the opportunity,” Case said, “and look forward to learning from him and his staff.”
