Just two months into his tenure as Kansas’ football coach, David Beaty is reaching out to fans with a series of public events in February.

The seven-event tour will begin on signing day on Wednesday, when Beaty and his staff will play host to a signing-day party at Abe and Jake’s Landing in Lawrence. The event, which is free to the public, will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The KU football program is also holding a Football Fan Fest event at the on-campus Anschutz Sports Pavilion from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in Lawrence. Members of KU’s Williams Fund, football season-ticket holders and KU Alumni Association members will be admitted at 4 p.m. The general public can enter at 5 p.m.

Here is a list of the other events taking place in February, which includes a Happy Hour event with Beaty from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Sporting Park.

Other events: A noon luncheon with Beaty on Feb. 12 at Smoky Hills Country Club in Hays, Kan.; a Happy Hour event with Beaty from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.; a Happy Hour event with Beaty from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the Ramada Inn in Topeka; a Happy Hour event with Beaty from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 at Larry Bud’s-East Side in Wichita.
