▪ ABOUT KANSAS (28-4): The top-ranked Jayhawks have won 12 straight following a dominant 85-63 victory over Kansas State in Thursday’s quarterfinals. Baylor is the rare team that has had previous success against KU in the Big 12 Tournament, as coach Scott Drew has a 2-1 record against Bill Self in the postseason, with victories in 2009 and 2012. The Jayhawks won last year’s matchup in Kansas City, taking a 62-52 win, helped by a 20-point effort from guard Wayne Selden.

▪ ABOUT BAYLOR (22-10): The 22nd-ranked Bears advanced with a 75-61 win over Texas on Thursday, led by forward Taurean Prince’s 24-point, 11-rebound showing. Baylor was swept in the regular season by KU, losing 102-74 on Jan. 4 in Lawrence before dropping a 66-60 decision in Waco on Feb. 23. The Bears have lost seven straight against the Jayhawks, a streak that goes back to 2013 when they won 81-58 in the regular-season finale at Ferrell Center.
