Klint Kubiak is leaving his position as a receivers coach for the Kansas football team to work for his father.

Kubiak, the son of Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak, was hired as Denver’s offensive assistant for quarterbacks, the Broncos announced Tuesday night.

Klint Kubiak, who will turn 29 on Wednesday, spent one season as KU’s receivers coach after getting hired by coach David Beaty.

It’s the second assistant coaching departure for KU football in a week. Former running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Reggie Mitchell was introduced as Arkansas’ running backs coach Friday after spending the last six seasons with the Jayhawks.
