Kansas football keeps recruiting run going by landing four-star juco prospect Cory Butler
One week ago, the Kansas football program had one recruit in its 2015 class.
Now they have seven.
The latest prospect to offer his verbal commitment to Kansas coach Charlie Weis is Cory Butler, a four-star receiver from Harbor Community College in Los Angeles. Butler was previously committed to Utah before switching his decision to Kansas after a weekend visit to Lawrence, according to Rivals.com.
For now, Butler profiles as an athlete and could possibly play offense or defense at Kansas.
"The coaches on offense want me to play offense," Butler told Rivals.com. "The defensive coaches see me playing on defense. They told me I could make my choice when I come which side I can play on. I just want to play wherever I can get on the field the fastest."
Butler is the sixth junior college player in the class of 2015 to commit to Kansas in the last week. The previous five juco commitments were unranked.
