KU baseball to face Nebraska on April 27 at Kauffman Stadium

Kansas’ Preston Land was greeted by teammates after hitting a home run in the fifth inning of a game between the Jayhawks and Missouri at Kauffman Stadium in 2009. KU also played MU at Kauffman in 2011, but that was the last time the team came to the stadium — until this spring, when the Jayhawks will take on the Cornhuskers.

The Kansas baseball team will play Nebraska this spring at Kauffman Stadium. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. April 27.

The Jayhawks and Huskers have not faced each other in baseball since Nebraska moved to the Big Ten after the 2010 season. Royals left fielder Alex Gordon was the national player of the year at Nebraska in 2005 before becoming the No. 2 overall pick in the MLB draft that year.

KU last played at Kauffman Stadium in 2011, when it beat Missouri.

Tickets are available through the Royals and range from $5 to $15. General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under (kids under 32 inches tall who can sit on an adult’s lap do not need a ticket). Tickets for the BATS Crown Club or Kia Diamond Club are $15 for adults and $10 for children 17 and under.
