Kansas remains No. 10 in AP college basketball poll
Kansas remained 10th in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll Monday following wins at Georgetown and against then-No. 13 Utah at the Sprint Center. The Utes fell one spot to No. 14.
Wichita State also stayed put in the new poll at No. 11. KU and Wichita State hold the same rankings in the USA Today coaches’ poll.
From the Big 12, No. 9 Texas, No. 13 Iowa State, No. 15 Oklahoma and No. 22 West Virginia are also ranked in the AP poll.
The top 10 teams in the AP poll remained unchanged from last week with the exception of No. 8 Gonzaga and Texas, which swapped spots.
No. 1 Kentucky last week lost forward Alex Poythress for the season after he tore a knee ligament in practice. The Wildcats responded Saturday with an 84-70 win over North Carolina, which is down three spots to 24th in the new rankings.
The only AP poll newcomer is No. 25 Michigan State, ranked again after a one-week absence.
Northern Iowa dropped out of the AP poll after a double-overtime loss to VCU.
