KU’s Bill Self: ‘There’s nothing about me and the NBA’
It’s early May and that means the NBA coaching carousel is beginning to spin.
As such, Kansas coach Bill Self’s name often gets whipped up into rumors and speculation as a college coach who might be in demand by NBA general managers.
All the talk? That’s all it is, Self said Friday in Lawrence while talking to a group of reporters after the groundbreaking for the DeBruce Center.
“There’s nothing about me and the NBA. Zero,” Self said, his comments first transcribed by the Topeka Capital-Journal. “Anybody that would waste any time on talk radio talking about that … surely there’s some Royals games or something like that going on that other people can talk about.”
