KU’s Self ‘disappointed’ in Naadir Tharpe’s judgment regarding photo on social media

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self said Monday he was “extremely disappointed” in point guard Naadir Tharpe because of a viral photo on social media and “the judgment that went along with it.”

The photograph, which was circulating on Twitter, shows a shirtless Tharpe appearing to take a picture of himself and a partially nude female. The woman is not identified.

“To say anything else publicly would be inappropriate at this time,” Self said, who added that any discipline of Tharpe would be handled internally.
