Tarik Black expected to play against Texas; Conner Frankamp is doubtful

Senior forward Tarik Black is expected to return on Saturday after missing two games with a sprained ankle, KU coach Bill Self said Friday. But freshman guard Conner Frankamp will likely miss his second straight game with a knee injury.

Black, who sprained his ankle against Baylor on Jan. 20, could have played Wednesday against Iowa State, but Self exercised cautioned in a fast-paced game.

“He practiced (Thursday),” Self said. “I had him scrimmage with the guys that didn’t play a lot of minutes, and he looked the best he’s looked so far.”
