Members of KU’s 2008 NCAA title team who have said they’ll either be playing or coaching the game include Mario Chalmers, Sherron Collins, Russell Robinson, Brandon Rush and Sasha Kaun.
Members of the 2022 title team who have said they’ll attend include Agbaji, Braun, Jalen Wilson, Mitch Lightfoot and Chris Teahan.
Former KU wing Svi Mykhailiuk of the Utah Jazz also will play in the game with fellow NBA players Agbaji (Brooklyn Nets), Wilson (Brooklyn Nets) and Braun (Denver Nuggets). Gee Ngala of the 2025-26 KU team also will play.
Making his debut at the Classic will be former KU and Lawrence High guard Zeke Mayo, who played in the G League last season. Fellow G League player Dajuan Harris also is planning on attending.
Greg Ostertag, the newly elected mayor of Mount Vernon, Texas, who played at KU from 1991-95 and followed that with 11 years in the NBA, has said he’ll coach in the game.
