See how KU basketball’s Darryn Peterson measured at 2026 NBA Draft Combine

Kansas basketball freshman Darryn Peterson is currently participating in the NBA Draft Combine.

The seven-day pre-NBA Draft event runs through May 17.

On Monday, Peterson was measured in at 6 feet, 4.5 inches (without shoes). He was weighed at 198.8 pounds and his standing reach was 8 feet, 7 inches. His wingspan was 6-9.75.

At Kansas, Peterson was listed at 6-foot-6 (with shoes).

Despite an up-and-down season, Peterson remains in contention for the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft. NBA scouts and draft evaluators have told The Star it’s unlikely he falls past the No. 2 pick.

The former KU star is contending with BYU’s AJ Dybantsa for the No. 1 selection. He will likely meet with top-4 teams at the NBA Draft Combine, where a strong week of interviews could help his case to be picked at No. 1.

Following Sunday’s NBA Draft lottery, here’s the order at the top of the draft:

  1. Washington Wizards
  2. Utah Jazz
  3. Memphis Grizzlies
  4. Chicago Bulls

One NBA Draft evaluator recently told The Star that order is unlikely to change as the price to move up in this draft is seen as very high. This is widely considered one of the strongest draft classes in recent memory.

Peterson averaged 20.2 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 43.8% from the field and 38.2% on 3-pointers with the Jayhawks. The NBA Draft is set for June 23-24 inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
