Where KU football players landed after NFL Draft — including one record-setter
Two Kansas football players were selected in the NFL Draft this past weekend, while several Jayhawks earned NFL opportunities after the conclusion of the event.
KU’s two drafted players were offensive lineman Enrique Cruz Jr. (San Francisco 49ers) and wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson (Seattle Seahawks).
Shortly after the draft, former Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He was one of five Jayhawks to sign as undrafted free agents.
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed former KU kicker Laith Marjan.
Marjan played just one season with the Jayhawks, but had a stellar — and record-setting — season. He went 14-for-17 on field goals and a perfect 40-for-40 on extra points.
Defensive tackle Tommy Dunn Jr. signed a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. Dunn had 26 total tackles and 2.5 sacks in 2025. The Cowboys paired Dunn with the signing of another KU defensive tackle, D.J. Withers. He had 16 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 2025.
The Seattle Seahawks signed wide receiver Levi Wentz, who played only one season with the Jayhawks. He transferred to KU from Albany and finished with 16 receptions for 258 yards and two touchdowns. He joins Henderson and former KU players Logan Brown and Bryce Cabeldue on the Seahawks.
Finally, offensive tackle Kobe Baynes earned camp invites from the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention for the 2025 season.
