The transfer portal additions keep on coming for Kansas coach Lance Leipold and his staff.

On Monday night, the Jayhawks secured a big commitment.

Former Louisville safety Corey Gordon Jr. is the newest player commit to Kansas, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Gordon has one season of eligibility remaining. He’s a veteran safety with plenty of experience, playing more than 1,000 career snaps. He finished last season with 53 tackles, including 24 solo, and two passes defended. Gordon played in 11 games, making three starts.

He’s also no stranger to the Big 12. Before joining the Cardinals last season, he played for Baylor. He had 34 tackles and three interceptions in the 2024 season.

He’s also the fourth safety the Jayhawks have picked up from the transfer portal. He joins Georgia transfer Jaden Harris, Iowa State transfer Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman and Georgia Tech transfer Christian Pickett.

The 6-foot-2 safety was a three-star recruit coming out of high school. He originally picked Baylor over New Mexico, South Dakota State and others.
