Kansas Jayhawks continue to reload through transfer portal with 2 more SEC additions

Kansas football continues to reload through the transfer portal.

Former Georgia safety Jaden Harris announced his commitment to KU on Monday evening. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

The safety played in four games for the Bulldogs. He made six total tackles during that time. He also played some special teams snaps for UGA.

Before he arrived in Athens, he played for Miami (Florida). He played in all 12 games in the 2024 season. He totaled 40 tackles and had 1.5 sacks.

Harris was a former three-star recruit in high school, who originally picked Miami over Michigan State, Kansas State and other schools.

He wasn’t the only SEC player to commit to the Jayhawks on Monday.

South Carolina linebacker Jaron Willis also announced his commitment to Kansas. He has one season of eligibility remaining. The redshirt junior didn’t play much for the Gamecocks last season, appearing in a total of four games.

He recorded seven tackles and had two fumble recoveries in 74 snaps on defense. The former four-star recruit originally picked Ole Miss before transferring to South Carolina before the 2023 season.

Harris is the third linebacker KU has picked up from the transfer portal, joining Kentucky’s Landyn Watson and New Mexico State’s Quincy Davis.
