Kansas football landed its first transfer portal commitment of the offseason Monday night.

The Jayhawks landed former Division II Grand Valley State defensive tackle Jibriel Conde, his agent Kyle Logan confirmed to The Star. This comes just days after the Jayhawks’ season ended with a loss to Utah.

Conde had briefly committed to Wisconsin, but flipped to Kansas on Monday. He finished the 2025 season with 30 tackles, 6.5 for loss, and 2.5 sacks in 10 games.

He has two years of eligibility remaining. According to On3, Conde is the No. 1-rated defensive lineman in the transfer portal. That said, the Division I transfer portal doesn’t open until Jan. 2.

Conde will help replenish a depleted defense line. DJ Withers, Tommy Dunn Jr. and Kenean Caldwell are all set to depart this season.

Blake Herold and Marcus Calvin are the only returning scholarship tackles currently on KU’s roster.
