KU lineman Bryce Cabeldue picked in 2025 NFL Draft. What position will he play?

Former University of Kansas offensive lineman Bryce Cabeldue was selected with the No. 192 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.

He’s the second Jayhawk picked in the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday, following teammate Devin Neal. Neal was selected earlier in the sixth round by the New Orleans Saints.

Cabeldue is the seventh KU player drafted since 2018.

Cabeldue, a senior from Clovis, New Mexico, was a late riser in the draft after a stellar showing at Big 12 Pro Day.

He played left tackle for Kansas last season, starting 12 games for KU and appearing in 48 of 50 total games during his time in Lawrence. He previously played right tackle. The Seahawks called Cabeldue a guard in their draft announcement, and he will likely play that position in the NFL.

According to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, Cabeldue projects as a “good backup with the potential to develop into starter.”
