1. The Bears have exceeded expectations. The preseason Big 12 media poll ranked Baylor at No. 12. Instead, having won five straight, the Bears (7-4, 5-3 Big 12) are in a five-way tie for fifth in the Big 12.
2. The Jayhawks have a long (and mostly losing-filled) history vs. Baylor. The Bears lead the all-time series 17-4. The last time Kansas beat Baylor was in 2007, when KU won 58-10. Kansas is 0-10 all-time vs. Baylor in Waco.
3. The Bears have one of the best offenses in the Big 12. The Bears rank No. 27 in points scored per game. Baylor has excelled with a balanced attack, averaging 419.2 yards per game.
4. Quarterback Sawyer Robertson has had a good season. He has completed 176 of 286 passes (62%) for 2,316 yards and 22 touchdowns (seven interceptions) through 10 games. He also has four rushing scores. That said, his last outing against Houston was rough — he threw for 204 yards with two touchdowns to three interceptions.
5. Keep an eye on Baylor linebacker Keaton Thomas. He has 100 total tackles, seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He even has one interception for the season.
