Kansas Jayhawks to meet Samford as 4-seed in Round 1 of NCAA Tournament: details

The Kansas Jayhawks were awarded a No. 4 seed in the Midwest Regional of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

KU (22-10) will meet No. 13 seed Samford of the Southern Conference in a first-round contest on Thursday in Salt Lake City.

If the Jayhawks win, they’ll play either Gonzaga or McNeese State in a second-round game on Saturday. That regional feeds into the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight in Detroit.

Return for more Jayhawks coverage. KU will hold a news conference later Sunday to discuss the upcoming NCAAs following the Selection Show.
