Speaking on GameDay, KU’s Kevin McCullar indicates he may not play vs. Baylor
Speaking on ESPN’s GameDay Saturday morning, Kansas Jayhawks senior guard Kevin McCullar indicated he’s questionable for Saturday’s game against Baylor at Allen Fieldhouse.
“I’m feeling good. I’m a little banged up right now. I don’t know if I’ll be able to go tonight,” McCullar said in an interview with the GameDay crew.
“But it’s going to be a big game, crazy environment is here, as always, the best fans in the nation. Just looking forward to getting back on the court with my brothers, gonna be cheering them on all night. It’s going to be good.”
McCullar, a 6-foot-7 senior from San Antonio, recently missed the Jayhawks’ Jan. 30 home game against Oklahoma State because of a bruised knee. Elmarko Jackson started that game for McCullar.
McCullar played 37 minutes in last Saturday’s win over Houston and 43 minutes Monday against Kansas State.
Tipoff against Baylor on Saturday is set for 5 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse.
The GameDay show, attended by several thousand fans, was highlighted by KU freshman Ellie McCarville swishing a halfcourt shot. She received prize money of $19,000 for making the basket.
McCullar and teammate Hunter Dickinson were interviewed by the GameDay crew.
