After an initial meeting set for the 2024 season, the Kansas football team will once again face Lindenwood in the 2028 season, the program announced on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks will play the Lions at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence on September 2, 2028.

Not only will the meeting in 2024 be the first meeting between the two schools — it’s the first FBS game Lindenwood has agreed to in program history.

KU looks to have at least three opponents scheduled for the 2028 season.

In December, Kansas announced a home-and-home series with Hawaii. The Jayhawks will play the Rainbow Warriors at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on August 26.

Kansas will also play Washington State on September 9 of that year.
