It looks like Kansas star safety Kenny Logan Jr. isn’t leaving Lawrence just yet.

Logan announced on social media Friday that he would return for a fifth and final season as a super-senior.

“Jayhawk nation for four years, you made a kid from North Florida feel at home,” Logan Jr. said in his announcement video. “You packed The Booth (David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium) to help us get this thing rolling … but I came to Kansas to turn around the program. And we’re just getting started.

“I have one more year and I will be playing right here in Lawrence, Kansas. Rock Chalk.”

Logan made All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for the 2022 season after finishing with 96 total tackles and two interceptions.

He played a pivotal role in helping lead the Jayhawks (6-6, 3-5 Big 12) to their first bowl game since 2008. Kansas will play the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 28 in Memphis.
