Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball headed to Maui Invitational early in 2023-24 season

Kansas’ men’s basketball team will compete in the 2023 Maui Invitational, it was announced Tuesday.

KU will be joined by Gonzaga, Marquette, Syracuse, Purdue, Tennessee, UCLA and Chaminade in the 40th annual event Nov. 20-22, 2023 at Lahaina Civic Center in Maui.

The field for the 2022 Maui Invitational, which will be contested Nov. 21-23 in Maui: Texas Tech, Arkansas, Arizona, Cincinnati, Creighton, Louisville, Ohio State and San Diego State.

The Maui Invitational was played on the U.S. mainland the last two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

KU will compete in the Battle4Atlantis in Bahamas as its exempt tournament this coming season.

KU will be joined by Butler, BYU, Dayton, North Carolina State, USC, Tennessee and Wisconsin. The tourney will be held Nov. 23-25 in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
