KU’s Self would like to get De Sousa, Enaruna on the court during Big 12 Tournament

It’s possible KU coach Bill Self will use his bench more than normal in the Big 12 Tournament with the NCAAs looming next week.

KU opens Big 12 play with a quarterfinal against either Oklahoma State or Iowa State around 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

“I’d like to for sure be able to play them both, Tristan more and play Silvio for sure,” Self said of reserves Silvio De Sousa and Tristan Enaruna. De Sousa did not play Saturday at Texas Tech despite De Sousa’s 12-game NCAA suspension having expired.

“I do hope that is the case. I will not make any bold predictions. I think that would be best for our team. I think you could probably at least anticipate us attempting to do that.”
