KU hoops signee Bryce Thompson selected to play in 2020 McDonald’s All American game

Kansas basketball signee Bryce Thompson, a 6-foot-4 senior combo guard from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was one of 24 high school boys basketball players chosen Thursday to play in the 43rd annual McDonald’s All American Game set for April 1 in Houston.

Thompson, the No. 19-ranked player in the recruiting Class of 2020 according to Rivals.com, is averaging 24.4 points and 5.7 rebounds a game this season.

He made the all tournament team at the Bass Tournament of Champions last week in Springfield, Missouri.

Last season, Thompson led Booker T. Washington High to an Oklahoma Class 6A title. He has scored 1,659 points in 99 games. On Nov. 12, he announced for KU over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and North Carolina.
