About Vermont: Vermont’s Duncan brothers (Everett, Ernie and Robin) are the fifth trio of brothers to play on the same NCAA Division I basketball team in the same season. The Duncans join Duke’s Plumlee brothers (Miles, Mason, Marshall) in 2011-12, Villanova’s Herron brothers (Larry, Keith, Reggie) in 1976-77, Villanova’s Brennan brothers (Matthew, Thomas, William) in 1957-58 and Dayton’s Bockhorn brothers (Bucky, Harold, Terry) in 1957-58. … Everett Duncan’s twin brother, Stanley, is a senior basketball player at NCAA Division III Anderson University in Indiana. … Coach John Becker is 167-77 in eight seasons at Vermont. Becker last season was named America East Coach of the Year for the second straight season and third time in the last seven years. The Jayhawks will meet Marquette in the semifinals of the event on Nov. 21 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Tennessee will take on Louisville in the other semifinal with the two winners meeting in the Nov. 23 finals following a consolation game between the semifinals losers. … Kansas, 17-3 in the NIT, last participated in 2002-03.
