Kansas football team snags a commitment from juco lineman in 2016 class
Joe Malanga, a junior-college offensive lineman in the 2016 class, made an oral commitment to Kansas and coach David Beaty on Monday afternoon.
Malanga, who confirmed his decision on his Twitter account, becomes the third known commitment for Kansas for 2016. The news was first reported by Jon Kirby of Rivals.com.
Malanga, a native of South Jordan, Utah, graduated from high school in 2013. He spent a redshirt year at Utah State before transferring to Snow College. Listed at 6 feet 4 and 300 pounds, Malanga will be eligible to transfer to Kansas in January, according to Rivals.com.
Kansas previously landed 2016 commitments from offensive lineman Antione Frazier and receiver Braylon Royal.
