Three Kansas signees to play in 41st-annual McDonald’s All-America game

Kansas basketball signees Devon Dotson, Quentin Grimes and David McCormack have been selected to play in the 41st-annual McDonald’s All-America boys basketball game March 28 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, it was announced Tuesday.

Duke joined KU as the only other team with three participants.

Dotson, a 6-2 senior point guard from Providence Day School in Charlotte, N.C., and Grimes, a 6-4 combo guard from College Park High in The Woodlands, Texas, will play for the West team.

McCormack, a 6-10 center from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., will play for the East.

KU is still in the running for a pair of players selected to the East team. They are: Zion Williamson, a 6-6 forward from Spartanburg (S.C.) Day School, who is said to be favoring Clemson; and Romeo Langford, a 6-6 shooting guard from New Albany (Ind.) High. Williamson is set to announce his college choice on Saturday.

Academy (Vanderbilt); Louis King, 6-6, forward, Hudson Catholic High, Jersey City, N.J. (Oregon); E.J. Montgomery, 6-10 forward, Wheeler High, Marietta, Ga. (undecided); Immanuel Quickley, 6-3, point guard, John Carroll School, Bel Air, Md. (Kentucky); Naz Reid, 6-10, forward, Roselle (N.J.) Catholic High (LSU); Jalen Smith, 6-9, forward, Mount St. Joseph High, Baltimore (Maryland) and Coby White, 6-3, point guard, Greenfield School, Wilson, N.C. (North Carolina).

West roster: Dotson and Grimes plus Darius Bazley, 6-8, forward, Princeton High, Cincinnati (Syracuse); Bol Bol, 7-2, center, Findlay Prep, Henderson, Nevada (Oregon); Jordan Brown, 6-10, center, Prolific Prep, Napa, Calif. (undecided); Keldon Johnson, 6-6, shooting guard, Oak Hill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, Va. (Kentucky); Tre Jones, 6-2, point guard, Apple Valley (Minn.) High (Duke); Nassir Little, 6-7, forward, Orlando (Fla.) Christian Prep (North Carolina); Reggie Perry, 6-8, forward, Thomasville (Ga.) High (Mississippi State); Jahvon Quinerly, 6-1, point guard, Hudson Catholic High, Jersey City, N.J. (undecided); Cameron Reddish, 6-7 forward, Westtown School, Chester, Pa.
