Kansas sophomore wing Brannen Greene remained in a shooting funk on Thursday in the Jayhawks’ 64-59 win over TCU in the Big 12 Tournament, missing all three of his three-point attempts.

Greene, who was once shooting better than 50 percent from three-point range, is now shooting 41.4 percent after making just two of 22 from deep in his last seven games.

“I don’t feel like my body is moving the same,” Greene said, expressing some mild frustration in his shooting performance

Earlier this week, KU’s staff stitched together clips of Greene’s shooting form from earlier this season, in hopes of breaking his slump. Greene also said his shot has been affected by a nagging hip injury.

“I don’t feel like it’s fluent,” Greene said. “My hips hurting, and when I go to jump … I don’t know. I know how I shoot. I know how my shot feels. So I don’t feel like my legs really get into it. But that’s no excuse.”

▪ The Jayhawks, 25-7, have tallied 25 wins, beginning in 2005-06. They also improved to 18-1 in first-round games at the Big 12 tournament and 26-5 all-time at the Sprint Center.

First half

▪ Key play: Kansas guard Frank Mason drilled a long two-pointer at the first half buzzer, giving the Jayhawks a 33-26 lead at the break.

▪ Key stat: KU freshman Svi Mykhailiuk played 11 minutes.

Second half

▪ Key play: Kansas’ Kelly Oubre got free along the baseline and finished a two-handed dunk that pushed the Jayhawks’ lead to 61-57 with 1:07 left.

▪ Key stat: KU was zero for eight from three.
