KU women’s basketball team falls at Creighton

The Kansas women’s basketball team dropped to 3-3 on the season with a road loss on Wednesday.

The Jayhawks fell 69-49 at Creighton.

Chayla Cheadle was the only KU player to finish with a double-digit scoring total. She was 6 of 13 from the field and finished with 12 points. McKenzie Calvert and Aisia Robertson added nine points each. Kylee Kopatich and Chelsea Lott both had five rebounds to pace the Jayhawks.

KU shot 36.8 percent from the floor and was 2 of 12 from three-point range.

Creighton, which shot 50 percent from the floor, had four players in double figures, led by the 15 points of Marissa Janning.

The Jayhawks will face Alabama at 11 a.m. Sunday on the road before returning home for five consecutive games.
