It’s been a solid couple of days for Kansas’ Perry Ellis.

Two days after surpassing the 1,000-point milestone in a victory over Baylor, Ellis was selected Big 12 co-player of the week. The honor came after Ellis, a junior forward, averaged 16 points and 7.5 rebounds in victories at Texas Tech and at home against Baylor. Ellis shared the accolade with Oklahoma State senior Le’Bryan Nash.

Ellis, who had 18 points against Baylor, is now at 1,015 points for his career, becoming the 56th Kansas player in program history to record 1,000 points.

Ellis will be back on the floor on Monday night when Kansas tips off at West Virginia at 8 p.m.
