Williams shared the honor with Baylor’s Rico Gathers, who set a league-record with 28 rebounds in victory over Huston-Tillotson.

Alexander averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Jayhawks’ victories over Oklahoma and Texas, recording double-doubles in both games and was named Big 12 newcomer of the week.
