▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (12-8, 2-6 Big 12): The Wildcats return home for a rare nonconference game in January. They are glad this one will be played at Bramlage Coliseum. K-State is 10-2 at home this season, with a recent victory over Oklahoma State. The Wildcats are coming off a 70-55 loss at West Virginia. Players say this game is every bit as important as a conference game, because it could impact the team’s postseason chances.

▪ ABOUT MISSISSIPPI (13-7, 3-5 SEC): The Rebels snapped a four-game losing streak earlier this week by defeating Auburn. Coach Andy Kennedy hopes his team can build off that momentum against K-State. Mississippi tends to go as far as Stefan Moody will take them. The senior guard averages 24.3 points. He has scored at least 18 points in all of his games this season.
