▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (12-7, 2-5 Big 12): The Wildcats are coming off their best game of the season, an 89-63 victory against Oklahoma State. All five starters reached double figures in that game, and every player that logged meaningful minutes scored. K-State hopes to play equally as well against West Virginia, a team it lost to 87-83 in double overtime earlier this month. This is the first rematch of the season for K-State.
▪ ABOUT WEST VIRGINIA (16-3, 5-2 Big 12): The Mountaineers couldn’t stop K-State with their full-court press when they met in Manhattan earlier this season, but they did slow them down and ultimately win with a zone defense. It will be fascinating to see if West Virginia tries to press K-State rematch. The Mountaineers are coming off a narrow victory at Texas Tech.
