▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (11-6): The Wildcats continue their stretch of difficult games on Wednesday. They played ranked opponents in three of their first five Big 12 games, and No. 13 Baylor will raise that total to four in six games. Justin Edwards is coming off a strong showing against Iowa State, but the Wildcats will hope for more from sixth man Barry Brown, who was uncharacteristically quiet against the Cyclones.
▪ ABOUT BAYLOR (14-3): The Bears have won four straight conference games since opening Big 12 play on the road against Kansas. Gathers is once again the player who makes Baylor go. The senior forward is averaging a double-double and is one of the fiercest rebounders in the nation. Scott Drew said he tried to remind his team defensive success won’t be a given against K-State by telling them every game is different.
