▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (11-5, 1-3 Big 12): The Wildcats are coming off one of their best games, an 83-70 win against Texas Tech in which they were hot from three-point range. K-State will try to build off that against Iowa State and once again use Bramlage Coliseum to its advantage. Barry Brown has been a consistent scoring option for K-State off the bench. He has averaged 17.3 points in his past six games.
▪ ABOUT IOWA STATE (12-4, 1-3 Big 12): Steve Prohm has encountered problems after a hot start to his Iowa State tenure. Since the Cyclones suffered their first loss to Northern Iowa near the end of nonconference play, they have lost three of their first four Big 12 games. The schedule hasn’t been easy, but losses to Baylor and Texas have hindered Iowa State’s hopes of contending for a conference championship.
