▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (10-3, 0-1 Big 12): The Wildcats are hoping to bounce back from a double-overtime loss to West Virginia in their conference opener. K-State will need to stay poised in a road environment to defeat Texas. It split its first two road games, winning at the buzzer at Georgia and falling by double digits at Texas A&M.
▪ ABOUT TEXAS (8-5, 0-1 Big 12): The Longhorns have lost two in a row, to Connecticut and Texas Tech, after a hot start that included a victory over North Carolina. Texas has been hurt by the loss of starting center Cameron Ridley. Prince Ibeh and Kendal Yancy are both trying to find their rhythms as relatively new starters.
