▪ WHEN/WHERE: 6 p.m. Friday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga.

▪ TV/RADIO: SEC Network; WHB (810 AM)

▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (5-1): The Wildcats have been all over the place in their past two games. An 80-70 loss to North Carolina, in which they led by eight in the final 4 minutes, showed how good they can be. Then a 68-66 win over South Carolina State showed how close they can come to losing to an inferior opponent. They will push for consistency on the road Friday. It won’t be easy. A year ago, K-State was 1-10 in true road games.

▪ ABOUT GEORGIA (3-2): The Bulldogs beat the Wildcats 50-46 at Bramlage Coliseum last season. They are off to a 3-2 start this year. None of their wins have come against marquee teams. They have lost to Chattanooga and Seton Hall. Kenny Gaines is one of the better scorers in the SEC. Georgia coach Mark Fox once worked as an assistant for the Wildcats and was born in Garden City.
