Kansas State will return to Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena for a regular-season men’s basketball game in 2015.
The Wildcats are still working out the details, but coach Bruce Weber said Thursday that the neutral-court tip will be played in December, mentioning Colorado State as a potential opponent.
“We will be in Wichita,” Weber said. “I know we have talked to a couple (teams), Colorado State and some other guys. I don’t know if anything is totally finalized.”
K-State has played at Intrust Bank Arena twice before, losing to West Virginia in 2011 and beating Gonzaga last year. Near capacity crowds attended both games.

A 2015 return would fulfill Weber’s stated desire to play a regular-season game in Wichita every other year, on top of traveling to Kansas City’s Sprint Center every season. K-State will take on Texas A&M at the Sprint Center on Saturday and play two games there in the 2015 CBE Classic. The matchups haven’t been set, but the other semifinal teams are Northwestern, North Carolina and Missouri.
“It worked out well for us,” Weber said. “We got the CBE next year, so it allows us to go to Wichita and keep up our plan.”
