▪ ABOUT KANSAS STATE (0-0): The Wildcats won each of their exhibition games with ease, blowing out Emporia State and Fort Hays State over the past two weeks. Now the games count, and K-State is ready to make the transition. Iwundu, Edwards and Hurt all averaged double-figures against the Division II opponents. One player looking to shine in his K-State debut is Wade. Coaches are high on the freshman forward, but he needs to learn how to avoid fouls.
▪ ABOUT MARYLAND EASTERN-SHORE (0-0): The Hawks were the surprise of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference last season when they won 18 games, more than any previous team had achieved in 41 years. That pushed them to the postseason with a CIT appearance. But the majority of those players are gone. Martin and Elliott are the only returners with significant experience.
