Good night for Justin Edwards as Kansas State beats Nebraska-Omaha

Justin Edwards took another step toward reaching the scoring expectations assigned to him by his teammates on Tuesday, scoring nine points and grabbing six rebounds.

Edwards, a Maine transfer, got off to a disappointing start as a starter, but has contributed more coming off the bench in back-to-back games.

First half

▪ Key play: Jevon Thomas hit a three-pointer with 7:26 remaining, giving K-State its first lead at 22-21.

▪ Key stat: Nebraska-Omaha scored 19 points off nine K-State turnovers.

Second half

▪ Key play: Nino Williams hit a three to give K-State a 65-50 lead.

▪ Key stat: K-State grabbed 18 rebounds.
