What’s at stake
Both times are trying to bounce back from losses. The Wildcats have lost two tough games in row, while the Sooners unexpectedly lost to Texas.
Cheers if ...
K-State stays committed to running the football. Most of their problems in recent losses have stemmed from a lack of commitment to the running game.
Jeers if ...
Oklahoma takes a halftime lead. The Sooners have been notoriously slow starters all season. The last thing the Wildcats want is to have to come from behind against a team that gets stronger late in games.
Kellis Robinett’s pick: Kansas State 35-33
After a pair of crushing losses, K-State will finally win a close one over Oklahoma by running the ball and avoiding mistakes.

Three things about Oklahoma
1 Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon are among the best running back tandems in the Big 12. Perine averages 72.8 yards, while Mixon averages 32. Both have big-play capabilities.
2 Oklahoma’s defense has struggled this season, especially against the run. The Sooners are allowing 190 rushing yards. They have surrendered at least 24 points in four straight games.
3 Junior quarterback Baker Mayfield, a Texas Tech transfer, leads the Big 12 in completion percentage (66.3 percent) and ranks third in total offense (345.2 yards).
Key matchup
K-State’s secondary vs. Sterling Shepard and Co.: TCU and Oklahoma State both shredded the Wildcats with the pass. K-State’s defensive backs need to make it hard for the Sooners to pull off big plays.
