What’s at stake
K-State can maintain its lead in the Big 12 standings with another home victory. Oklahoma State is looking for a win to stop a two-game losing streak.
Cheers if …
K-State runs the ball effectively and possesses the ball for long periods. Oklahoma State ranks 103rd in time of possession.
Jeers if …
Daxx Garman throws for 300 yards. The Cowboys are at their best when they are hitting big plays down field.
Three things about Oklahoma State
1 So far, the Cowboys have found success against unranked teams and suffered losses to ranked teams. All five of their victories have come against unranked opponents, while their defeats were against No. 2 Florida State, No. 10 TCU and No. 20 West Virginia.
2 Tyreek Hill is one of the nation’s top returners. He averages 150.2 all-purpose yards and has two touchdown returns.
3 Stopping Emmanuel Ogbah may be K-State’s top priority up front. Ogbah leads the Big 12 with eight sacks and 12 1/2 tackles for loss.
Key matchup
K-State’s kickoff coverage vs. Tyreek Hill. The last thing the Wildcats want is to let Oklahoma State score cheap touchdowns or benefit from excellent field position provided by Hill. His returns kept the Cowboys in the game against Florida State and saved them against Kansas. Kicking away from him and limiting his return opportunities will be paramount.

Kellis Robinett’s pick: K-State 35-20
Oklahoma State failed to put up a fight in its last two games and struggled to beat Kansas before that. K-State, especially at home, should have few problems with the Cowboys.
