Second-place pushThe Wildcats want to finish second in the Big 12 standings. They have made it their goal for the remainder of the season. K-State can reach it with two more wins. Next up is a “Big Monday” game at Oklahoma State. Then Baylor comes to Bramlage Coliseum next weekend on Senior Day.
“It is in our hands,” Weber said. “It is up to us, but it won’t be easy.”
• K-State athletic director John Currie spoke with reporters for the first time since the university received a record $60 million donation from booster Jack Vanier and his family. One third of the gift will be used for planned enhancements at Snyder Family Stadium, which feature a $62 million overhaul of the north end zone.
Currie said the “lead gift” will allow K-State to break ground on the project “sooner than later.”
“This is the type of gift that can help sustain a major project,” Currie said.
