No. 15 Oklahoma State edges K-State women
The Kansas State women’s basketball team was in position to pull an upset Wednesday night, but No. 15 Oklahoma State rallied for a 58-51 victory.
The Wildcats, 6-8 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12, led 31-27 in the second half, but the Cowgirls used a 23-6 run and seized control.
In the first half, the Wildcats grabbed an early 11-8 lead, but Oklahoma State went on a 18-4 run and led 27-23 at the half.
K-State scored the first eight points of the second half with Ashia Woods and Haley Texada each hitting three-pointers. But Oklahoma State, 13-1 and 2-1, answered with the decisive run of the game. Kendra Suttles scored 11 straight points at one point for the Cowgirls.
Woods’ 17 points led K-State, which lost its first three conference games for the first time since the 1992-93 season.
